China - Xi An : Mt Hua Shan

CHINA : XI AN - SEP 2015

This day was our most adventurous day ever in our lives. We were going for the death-defying cliff-side mountain climb in China - Plank walk at Mt Hua Shan. Plank walk is in one of my bucket list and now I can strike it off my list already! hehe

We took the business class to prepare ourselves for the plank walk later. Haha kidding, it was because economy seats were sold out.

After 2 hours train ride, we finally reached!
There are going to have ALOT people asking if you wanted an express ride to the mountain. DO NOT TAKE! There is free shuttle bus to the mountain and its only 5-10min ride from the train station.

We took cable car up lol cheated

You can choose to climb up too

Here it comes the most dangerous trek ever in my life.. the plank walk!

I was actually very determined about taking up this challenge but my boyfriend (then) was extremely uncomfortable and did not have any confidence in me doing it. Up till the last minute even we saw the long queue, he was still asking me if I am sure that I want to do it anot.. -.-" so much for the confidence.

The pretty sight when we were queuing up.

There is only one trail for the plank walk. It means that the hikers has to take the same route back after reaching the end.

Basically, the hikers (with harness) has to climb down a vertical stairs to reach the horizontal plank. It is a two way traffic on a single plank. Hikers would have to move their harness over other hikers heads and step on the outside of them.

I asked one of the hikers that finished the plank walk if it was scary (to build up my courage). He said "if your heart is not soft, then your legs will not wobble". Well said!

There are a couple of stops where a couple professional photographer station there. I did not bring my camera as I wanted to focus all my attention on my every steps.

The photographer asked me to sit down but I was too afraid on how do I get back up after that.. so I didnt lol
