Japan - Hokkaido : Shiroi Koibito Park

Sapporo - Feb 2016

My bf is a huge fan of Shiroi Koibito chocolate biscuit and he insisted to go to the Shiroi Koibito Park in Sapporo where consists of a shop, cafe and restaurant and various chocolate related exhibits. Most interestingly there are a few large windows through which visitors can observe the cookie production process in the factory. Hands-on workshops also available where visitors can attend to create our own customized cookies.

We took a short walk from Miyanosawa Station

We reached the park early in the morning around 9+am and there was already a short queue infront of us.

He loves it.

This is where they made all the shiroi koibito!

They are so hygienic that they covered themselves head to toe only exposing the eye area.

It was really interesting and intriguing to see how a chocolate biscuit is being made.

Looks like the rose in beauty and the beast. 864yen.

Shopping time!

Chocolate milk only sold in Hokkaido! MUST BUY! Creamiest chocolate milk ever.

Then we went out to take a look after taking a queue number at the restaurant on level 2.

It started to snow when we were leaving the park. It was so magical!

Japan - Hokkaido : Asahiyama Zoo

Sapporo - Feb 2016

The most popular animal in Asahiyama Zoo is the penguins. They even hold two fashion walk at 11am and 2.30pm.

We set off very early that day to catch the JR Limited Express to Asahikawa station and another bus from the station to the zoo in order to catch the 11am penguin walk. We reached the entrance of the zoo at around 10.50am so we quickly bought the tickets but we couldnt run fast due to the slippery icy route. Luckily the zookeepers led the way and the show did not start on time (hmm.. so unlike their culture). We were very surprised to see so many people already crowded along the path.

The most right was the most hairy one hahahaha

After the penguin walk, we continued to explore the zoo. The zoo was actually not as big as I expected and was covered by snow so it seemed a little empty.

can u spot the white owl

This is quite cute

hmm are you the zookeeper?
