China - Xi An : Mt Hua Shan

CHINA : XI AN - SEP 2015

This day was our most adventurous day ever in our lives. We were going for the death-defying cliff-side mountain climb in China - Plank walk at Mt Hua Shan. Plank walk is in one of my bucket list and now I can strike it off my list already! hehe

We took the business class to prepare ourselves for the plank walk later. Haha kidding, it was because economy seats were sold out.

After 2 hours train ride, we finally reached!
There are going to have ALOT people asking if you wanted an express ride to the mountain. DO NOT TAKE! There is free shuttle bus to the mountain and its only 5-10min ride from the train station.

We took cable car up lol cheated

You can choose to climb up too

Here it comes the most dangerous trek ever in my life.. the plank walk!

I was actually very determined about taking up this challenge but my boyfriend (then) was extremely uncomfortable and did not have any confidence in me doing it. Up till the last minute even we saw the long queue, he was still asking me if I am sure that I want to do it anot.. -.-" so much for the confidence.

The pretty sight when we were queuing up.

There is only one trail for the plank walk. It means that the hikers has to take the same route back after reaching the end.

Basically, the hikers (with harness) has to climb down a vertical stairs to reach the horizontal plank. It is a two way traffic on a single plank. Hikers would have to move their harness over other hikers heads and step on the outside of them.

I asked one of the hikers that finished the plank walk if it was scary (to build up my courage). He said "if your heart is not soft, then your legs will not wobble". Well said!

There are a couple of stops where a couple professional photographer station there. I did not bring my camera as I wanted to focus all my attention on my every steps.

The photographer asked me to sit down but I was too afraid on how do I get back up after that.. so I didnt lol

Our we-finally-did-it faces

my tired face at the end of the day.

NDP 2016 - “Building our Singapore of Tomorrow”

NDP 2016 - “Building our Singapore of Tomorrow”

My last live NDP preview was 3 years ago when bf got the tickets. This year, my brother was lucky enough to win the tickets - I have to admit that I have been consistently balloting for NDP tickets with all my families' particular and have not been win once with my name.

Ironically, the preview date was coincidentally fell on my wedding day -.-" (dont know wanna cry or wanna laugh).
I managed to exchange tickets with one kind soul on carousell. YAYs!

This year was a little bit special as it was held back to our National Stadium.

Our last NDP as two single and available people

We was a little disappointed as some of the standard performances (eg. the lions parachuting, navy performance and outdoor fireworks view was blocked) were replaced with other mass performance due to venue constraint.

However, they replaced with Indoor Fireworks and some high tech 3D Projection Displays which portrays how Singapore could look like in the future. It gave us a refreshing experience and definitely fit the futuristic theme.

These are some of the video I took during the preview.

Indoor ending finale

I am a fan of fireworks and have been camping to see fireworks for the past few years. So tadah, here we are again camping outside waiting for the beautiful fireworks.

Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens By The Bay Festive 2015

Heard that this was the most christmasy place in Singapore so we decided to pay it a visit.

It was not as pretty at the outside but..

..It was so damn fairytale in the inside!

Be prepared to see lots of people photobomb your photo.

Carousel roundabout is my favourite ride in amusement park.

#SG50 NDP 2015

#SG50 NDP 2015

Year 2015 was a special year for Singapore as it has been independent for 50 big fat years already! As we did not manage to get the tickets (*sad), instead of watching the parade at home, we went down personally to celebrate the day with our fellow Singaporeans.

This post is very late but #latebetterthannoshow lol

We actually got quite a good spot for fireworks

Happy Birthday my homeland. Proud to be part of this big family =D

I am psyched to know I am one of the luckiest ones to get this year NDP 2016 preview tickets! *hehe
